Welcome to Cucumber - the app that makes it easy to find recipes to cook when you’re out shopping.

Have you ever found yourself in the supermarket and thought, ‘I really want to cook with this, but I don’t know what to cook’? Then Cucumber is for you. Cucumber matches food ingredients and products to recipes.

Simply tap the scan button, hold your iPhone up to the product you want to use in a recipe and scan the label. If Cucumber recognises the label you’ll get recipe suggestions from our guest cooks and links to even more recipes from around the web (and we’ve made sure they’re optimised for viewing on an iPhone).

You don’t even have to put your shopping bags down to use Cucumber. You can use it with one hand to directly scan the label of the product. There’s no need to turn the can or jar to get at a barcode: Cucumber will recognise the product itself!

Be sure to update Cucumber regularly as we add even more products to the ones it can recognise already.
